Today is my last day in DC. I’ve been here since Monday afternoon for a content management system training for work. Last night some of our local coworkers gave us a personal tour of the city in their air conditioned vehicles. It had just rained and it was extremely humid out. I think I’d have to describe it as steamy..
As we were headed toward the Whitehouse, we got to a police road block so we got out and waited a bit. Sure enough not long after, the president’s motorcade came rushing by. We spoke to some of the officers while we waited, and were told that the president will frequently wave to everyone as he goes by unless he’s with someone else in the vehicle. It was a cool experience – I guess you just have to be in the right place at the right time.
More DC photos coming up next week.
