The Icy Path

I found this icy trail when I was walking around St Louis Park last week. You had to choose between walking on ice, snow, or mud. I liked the way it curved, then led under a bridge, and over some train tracks.

Chris and I are planning on exploring some abandoned buildings this weekend. Any suggestions?

Snow Covered Tree

While winter is quickly on it’s way out in Minneapolis, I thought I’d look back at a photo taken in the beginning of winter. Things are looking a lot different.

Tomorrow morning I’m headed out toward Mount Bohemia, MI with two other Minneapolis skiboarders for the first Midwest Meet. With 175 inches of snow this year, we’re hoping to find some good stuff. In total there will be 7 of us, some coming from as far as Maryland.

More Snow for Minneapolis

I like snow. It makes things look so nice and bright. I don’t like driving in it. It’s crazy what a mess even an inch of snow can make in a big city. Driving in rush hour traffic everyday gets even more nasty when there are a few fresh inches on the ground. I haven’t had too bad of luck – just one really bad drive home when it took me over an hour to drive 12 miles from work back home. The snow is much more enjoyable on the hills than on the roads.
